Vegin’ Out for the holidays with a home-delivered vegan Thanksgiving meal for two and holiday cookie assortments

Los Angeles, Calif., November 7, 2008 –Vegin’ Out, L.A.’s best vegan weekly meal delivery service, today announced a special Thanksgiving menu created by nutritional chef Tim Boissy, and holiday cookie tins available to ship nationwide.
Vegin’ Out’s homemade Thanksgiving feast for two costs $67.99, which includes local delivery. The menu features a field roast made of a combination of seitan and whole grains with a mushroom gravy, plus traditional favorites like mashed russet potatoes and garnet yams with cinnamon and nutmeg, cranberry orange relish, green beans almondine, ruby quinoa salad and a choice of vegan, gluten-free pumpkin or apple pie from Fabe’s Natural Bakery (http://www.fabesnatural.com). Like Vegin’ Out’s regular weekly menu items, its Thanksgiving dinner is loaded with fresh vegetables, whole grains, leafy greens, and plant-based sources of protein. Each dish is free of meat, dairy, cholesterol and trans fats, and includes locally grown and organic foods as often as possible. Typically about 75 percent of the company’s ingredients are certified organic.
Orders should be placed by Friday, November 21 to ensure delivery on Wednesday November 26.
Vegin’ Out is also offering decorative tins of Boissy’s homemade vegan cookies as holiday gifts. Boissy’s cookies are adapted from recipes handed down by his mother, Mary Sue, who filled the Boissy home with cookies every November and December. Each tin contains a half dozen each of chocolate chip candy cane, oatmeal cranberry walnut, and snickerdoodles, for a total 18 cookies. Vegin’ Out holiday cookies are 100 percent organic, including the candy canes, and are baked fresh the day of shipping.
Tins will be available in a choice of patterns and cost $27.99. Vegin’ Out is able to ship tins throughout the U.S. for an additional shipping fee, and will enclose a gift tag for shipped tins.
